Astrology and Numerology Analyses On Your Favorite Sports Stars

What makes some of us better athletes than others? Yes, it could be our genes. It is almost always our desire and personal athletic prowess and focus that helps. But according to many astrologers and numerologists, the secret to superior performance could be in the stars as well.
The prominence of Mars (the planet of sheer physical energy, original action and powerful athleticism), Pluto (the planet of extreme mental concentration, fearless determination and the ability to get up after a fall and try even harder) and Jupiter (the planet that rules personal confidence, a belief in one's abilities, sports and athletes) could shed some light on the question. Let's look at the signs and numerological make up of a select group of some of the best athletes in the world and see what makes them such incredible forces in their fields.
Professional Tennis
Andre Agassi
Sun in Taurus
Moon in Aquarius
Birth Number 2
Destiny Number 5
Andre Agassi has a Sun sign of earthy Taurus and has a Moon sign of airy Aquarius. His father, a former boxing champ and Olympian from Iran, settled in Las Vegas taking work as a tennis instructor. And as soon as little Andre could walk, Mike taped a racket to his son's hand and hung a tennis ball over his crib. ''He was convinced that if my eyes are going to move around as a little baby, I might as well be looking at a tennis ball,'' says Andre. By the age of 10, Andre was beating fellow up-and-coming US players including Pete Sampras, Jim Courier and Michael Chang. At age 13, he'd simply learned all he could from his dad. Mike shipped his son off to legendary coach Nick Bollettieri's famed tennis boot camp in Bradenton, Florida.
But with an Aquarian Moon sign, Andre didn't take to the rigors of the tennis academy and began to rebel, growing out his hair and even wearing denim jeans to tournaments. In 1986 he left the training camp, but retained Nick as his coach, turning pro at age 16. Aquarian youngsters rebel for different reasons than other kids: their ruling planet Uranus governs total rebellion and unconventional behavior. The world might have disapproved of Andre’s attitude, but Uranus would give him 5 stars for standing up and being so unique.
His bad boy image proved popular with both corporate sponsors and the ladies. Taurus males have an advantage over other signs in the romance department because Taurus is ruled by Venus. This enables the more authentic Taurus males to sense the inner motivations of women easily. After all, Venus rules love, and is partial to Taurus. Millions of dollars worth of endorsement deals rolled in (Taurus is also a money sign) and he was seen on the arm of a bevy of women, including Barbra Streisand (another famous Taurus lady).
In 1992, he jetted off to Wimbledon at the last minute after nearly deciding to skip the All England lawn event entirely. Smart move. He shocked even himself, defeating Goran Ivanisevic in the finals and claiming his first major title. When his relationship with Nick soured, Andre turned to fellow American and pro Brad Gilbert to coach him and over the next couple of years he claimed two Grand Slam trophies and an Olympic gold medal. In 1993 he started dating Suddenly Susan star Brooke Shields and the two eventually married in California on April 19, 1997.
''I was playing a lot of golf, going out a lot, enjoying Brooke's world,'' says Andre. ''It was awesome...It was nice not to have the responsibility I've known since I was a child.'' Traditional Taurus made him want to be what his dad wished him to become but this must have been hard because Aquarian Moons do not take discipline or routine very well. Their primary motivation is life is to promote freedom of thought and action, something they should be allowed to do.
The charms of Hollywood soon wore thin and the couple divorced amicably just ten days shy of their two-year wedding anniversary. Aquarius is one of the most married signs. ''Love is not enough for a marriage to work,'' he says. Aquarian Moons need to marry a friend who can be a lover, instead of a lover who might or might not prove to be a true friend. Aquarius is the sign of universal friendship and humanitarian acts.
Realizing he missed playing competitive tennis, Andre started on a much-chronicled weight training program and diet and began training with a purpose. This must have killed his Aquarian Moon but his Taurus Sun must have reveled in the structure and order of a routine. With his 1999 win at the French Open he became the first man since Rod Laver in the Sixties to win all four grand slam events in his career and the only player besides German tennis star Steffi Graf to win all four plus an Olympic gold medal for singles.
Andre’s Birth Number of 2 makes him a reflective and emotional man who may be even more sensitive to his environment due to having a Taurus Moon sign. This may also make him a wonderful and open-hearted father to his two beautiful little girls. His Destiny Number of 5 gives him a restless quality which is invaluable on the court and pushes him to do more and do it faster than his opponent. His Birth Number of 2 matches his Taurus Sun sign while his destiny Number of 5 is influenced positively by his airy Moon sign. Here we have a winner who has a heart of gold, but is also incredible down to earth. As he ages, Andre will probably be drawn to his Iranian roots and culture (Taurus rules old traditions and convention) and will surely gift this knowledge to his daughters, who will understand who their father really is: a sensitive man and a talented world class tennis player.
Professional Baseball
Joe DiMaggio
Sun in Sagittarius
Moon in Pisces
Birth Number 7
Destiny Number 6
A true legend, Joseph Paul DiMaggio was one of the most beloved and famous of all American baseball players. He played for the New York Yankees and was elected to United States Baseball Hall of Fame in 1955. He threw right handed and batted right handed as well.
Joe is remembered as one of the game's most graceful athletes: a "picture player" both at bat and in center field. Many rate his 56-consecutive-game hitting streak in 1941 as the top baseball feat of all time (his home run streak started on May 15). "The Yankee Clipper" used an unusually wide stance in winning two batting championships and three MVP awards. In 13 seasons he amassed 361 homers, averaged 118 RBI annually and compiled a .325 lifetime batting mark. At baseball's 1969 centennial celebration, he was named the game's greatest living player.
What very few people know about Joe is that he was also an incredibly sensitive and loving person. His Pisces Moon indicates that he was an incurable romantic and his Sagittarius Sun sign tells us that he was also impulsive at heart. Which fire sign isn’t? This water/fire combination is strongly reinforced by his Birth Number of 7, which is ruled by the ephemeral and soft planet Neptune, and his Destiny Number is ruled by 6. Venus exerts her full influence over Joe’s love life and with so many emotional signs at the helm, it is only to be expected that he thought with his heart and not with his head. Well, isn’t that the way love is? Yes. But it also caused him a lot of heartache.
Joe’s stellar professional career can be connected to his Sun sign of Jupiter-ruled Sagittarius. Jupiter rules sports and sportsmen (and women) and with this sign as the first of his 3 most important sign positions (Sun sign, Moon sign and Rising sign), Joe picked the right field and blossomed. Lucky for us and the world.
With a Pisces Moon sign and the number 7 for a Birth Number, Neptune played a major role in the way he felt, processed and used his emotions to heal his deepest wounds. Everyone knows what an incredible athlete he was, but now we also know that he was such a tender-hearted man. What an amazing personality he was, and how we wish he was still amongst us!
Professional Golf
Tiger Woods
Sun in Capricorn
Moon in Sagittarius
Birth Number 3
Destiny Number 1
Tiger Woods has a Capricorn Sun and a Sagittarius Moon sign. The Moon itself is a passive entity, but when seen through the lens of the sign of Sagittarius, its passivity is subdued, which gives Jupiter, the ruler of Sagittarius a chance to come out in all his glory. Sportsmen and women who excel at their game usually have a strong Sagittarius connection somewhere in their astrological charts. Tiger's Moon in athletic Sagittarius makes him love golf with all his heart. It has become a way for him to connect to himself.
Eldrick (Tiger) Woods has had an unprecedented career since becoming a professional golfer in the late summer of 1996. He has won 53 tournaments, 40 of those on the PGA TOUR, including the 1997, 2001, and 2002 Masters Tournaments, 1999 and 2000 PGA Championships, 2000 and 2002 U.S. Open Championship, and 2000 British Open Championship. With his second Masters victory in 2001, Tiger became the first ever to hold all four professional major championships at the same time. He is the career victories leader among active players on the PGA TOUR, and is the career money list leader. A Capricorn Sun fills him with the desire to win and succeed beyond what any one around him had imagined.
Capricorn is known for hard work and an unparalleled drive. Ambition and a wish to reach the top is what the 10th sign of Capricorn is all about. But Tiger's Sagittarius Moon also makes him a fun-loving guy who smiles and laughs easily and is openhearted and friendly. Jupiter, the ruler of Sagittarius likes to do things in a big way. So, if he's happy, he will be really happy. But if Tiger is in a bad mood some day, it will be a really bad mood. People around him will also hear it, as his Birth Number 3 is very vocal when upset or happy. The Capricorn sign also brings in a touch of depression now and then, but it soon lifts and he is drawn back into the joy of life. The Capricorn Sun sign also makes Tiger an astute businessman who will market his talent cleverly, which is why we see him endorsing so many products and creating a solid financial base for himself.
Tiger's Birth Number is 3, as he is born on the 30th of December. This number gives him a chance to express himself through the amazing medium of sport. His Destiny Number is 1, which clearly points to him being a leader in his field. Today, Tiger and golf are virtually synonymous. As of this writing he is named as Number 3 in the world, but the author believes this is only temporary. Tiger will be back again and in better form than before, so let's stay tuned! (By the way, congratulations are in order for Tiger who just got married!)
Professional Football
Brett Favre
Sun in Libra
Moon in Libra
Birth Number 1
Destiny Number 9
Brett Favre is considered one of the greatest and most talented players in the history of the NFL. He has been the starting quarterback for the Green Bay Packers football team in the National Football League since 1992. He holds the longest consecutive starts streak for quarterbacks in NFL history, a number that continues to grow despite numerous injuries, including a broken thumb on his right (throwing) hand that he played with all of 2003.
Signs of excellence in leadership are clearly visible in his numerological make up. As with most double Libras (Sun in Libra, Moon in Libra), he has distinguished himself from other players early on in his stellar career. Libra is a cardinal sign, which means that he desires to be the first in his sport and dreams of being the link between his team and a quick victory. Libra is an Air sign as well, which means that if he has ideas about anything just before a game, his manager would do well to listen to him and try out whatever he suggests.
Favre has won the National Football League's MVP Award for a record three times. Despite his strength, he is a good example to a person who is not ashamed of being human with the usual frailties. In the mid 1990s, Brett developed an addiction of Vicodin, a medication given to athletes after very painful injuries. Instead of hiding this from his fans and the world, he went public with his problem and faced his difficulty head-on.
Rehabilitation and 46 days later, he was back in full force and soon after that, led the Packers to their greatest season in nearly thirty years. The year he sought help with his problem was also the year that the Packers won the Super Bowl XXXI against the New England Patriots.
Brett's Birth Number is 1 which makes him a very dominant force on the field and his Destiny Number 9 provides the fervor and passion that is needed to succeed in a game where at any given moment, you could get yourself severly injured. The fearlessness of the warrior-like 9, the focus and originality of 1, make Brett a formidable foe. His team, led by him, also won the Super Bowl in 1997. We wouldn't expect anything less from the 'bulldozer combination' of a 1 and a 9.
The 9 also gives an incredible emotional strength, which manifests itself most particularly in time of extreme crisis. One of the defining moments of Favre's career took place on December 22nd , 2003, in a Monday-night game against the Oakland Raiders. The day before, his father, who had been his high school coach and lifelong mentor, passed away. Where most players would have collapsed or taken the week off, Favre elected instead to play. He passed for 4 TDs in the first half, and 399 yards in the game. He was named NFC Offensive Player of the Week. He then went to his father's funeral and returned in time to lead the Packers to a 2003 NFC North title with a win over the Denver Broncos. Now in his fourteenth season, Brett's fans are hoping he won't retire soon. Whether he does that or not, he will be remembered as one of the most determined and amazing players in football. We hope he'll stick around for a few more years!
Boxing
Mohammed Ali
Sun in Capricorn
Moon in Aquarius
Birth Number 8
Destiny Number 7
"Fly like a butterfly (Neptunian 7) sting like a bee (Capricorn 8)", Ali needs no introduction to the world. He was the 1960 Olympic light heavyweight champion; the 3-time world heavyweight champ (1964-67, 1974-78,1978-79); he defeated Sonny Liston (1964), George Foreman (1974) and Leon Spinks (1978) for the title; he fought Joe Frazier in 3 memorable bouts (1971-75), winning twice; he adopted the Black Muslim faith in 1964 and changed his name; he was stripped of title in 1967 after a conviction for refusing induction into U.S. Army; the verdict was reversed by Supreme Court in 1971; he has a career record of 56-5 with 37 KOs and 19 successful title defenses; he lit the flaming cauldron to signal the beginning of the 1996 Summer Olympics in Atlanta. Not bad, we think.
With a Birth Number of 8 which is reinforced by the sign of Capricorn, his Sun sign, Ali was born to lead others in some arena of life. He chose boxing and in a way, revolutionized it. His unconventional and openly proud demeanor is a gift from his Aquarian Moon which challenges him to be different, sometimes so different that the people watching him will never forget what he was fighting for. To him, boxing was indeed such a cause. Being an African American, he may have felt certain pressures in a racial sense. But he didn't back down one bit.
He drove himself, refused to quit even after being knocked down due to defeats, and pushed himself like only a double Saturn person can and eventually ended up on top of his field. His Destiny Number is 7, which tells us that all that under all that bravado and boisterousness is a seldom seen inner core that was soft, easily hurt and emotionally raw. This he never let anyone see, as would be expected of someone who functions under the strict control of Saturn.
Saturn frowns on too much emotionality and likes it when people are in total control of their feelings. Ambitious and naturally anti-convention, just like Saturn and Uranus would like him to be, Ali created a niche for himself that can never be erased from the minds of his fans, both young and old.
Bike Racing
Lance Armstrong
Sun in Virgo
Moon in Virgo
Birth Number 9
Destiny Number 9
Lance Armstrong is first and foremost a survivor. The world rightfully marvels at his endurance level and personal strength. With a predominance of speedy and light-footed Mercury in his astrological as well as numerological chart, we can tell that he is extremely restless both mentally and physically.
Lance's sporting career began in Plano, Texas, where his mother Linda supported his competitive urges from the beginning. He displayed a gift early on when he won the Iron Kids Triathlon at 13 and became a professional when he was only 16 years old. At the near-cost of his high school diploma, he trained with the U.S. Olympic cycling developmental team in Colorado Springs, Colorado, during his senior year. That sealed his destiny and Lance embarked on a career as a bike racer.
He is a Sun sign Virgo, a Moon sign Virgo as well a double 9, meaning that both his Birth and Destiny Numbers are 9 and this could be the cause of so much restlessness in him. When we see this in the arena of competition, this restlessness translates into never giving up. Virgo is the 6th sign of work, personal health and service. Lance is providing a great service to two causes with equal fervor. One is the cause of his sport where he is able to inspire thousands of others to join him in his exciting and challenging sport of professional bike racing. The other is becoming an example to people who are suffering from the serious, and many times terminal, disease of cancer.
His bravery is a symbol to others who need a role model to help them believe that they always have a chance at life. This is important in a karmic sense as well. His Sun and Moon sign of Virgo point to an interest in health matters and the influences of this sign point us in the direction of maintaining good health, proper dietary habits and regular exercise. Coming back to the number 9, Lance often works under the influence of the warrior instinct which is a gift of this particular number. The number 9 (ruled by Mars) will fight to the end to protect its territory, and indeed, Lance protected his territory by winning the Tour de France more times than any other person. Being a survivor of cancer, winning means more to him than it would to another person who has not gone through the fear, pain and demoralization that goes along with this dreaded disease. The double Martian 9 may also have helped him beat his disease by sheer mental conditioning. He won out against a disease that could have very easily taken his life. This makes him a true champion in every sense of the word.
Professional Baseball
Alex Rodriguez (A-Rod)
Sun in Leo
Moon in Pisces
Birth Number 9
Destiny Number 2
Alex Rodriguez is a champion in every sense. And he loves it! Alex's status in the game can be summed up by the fact that he has been the Players Choice Outstanding Player in the American League for three straight seasons and five times total in his career. He won AL home run titles each of the past three seasons and added an American League Most Valuable Player Award in 2003. In 2002, Alex was named the Players Choice Overall Outstanding Player. Alex moved from the Texas Rangers to the New York Yankees prior to the 2004 season in a trade that was one of the biggest blockbusters in major-league history.
He was born under the 5th sign of happy, generous Leo, which tells us that he enjoys every minute of his time on the field. His Birth Number is 9, which gives him a force of character and a physical endurance that is invaluable in his game. A 9 Leo will shine in front of the world no matter which arena he picks for himself. Alex has a Moon in sensitive, watery Pisces so there is definitely an artistic and musical side to him. To express this side is also a way for him to heal himself. His Moon sign resonates to the number 7, which is well matched with his Destiny Number of 2.
The softness of the Moon coupled with the mysteriousness of Neptune can make for a deep and perceptive personality. Women will play a major role in his desire to balance himself emotionally. And it is only fair that he should do this because his emotions have a direct impact on his performance on the field. He loves his fans and family and being an openhearted Leo, his friends will also find themselves depending on him more than usual. Care must be taken so that people do not end up taking advantage of his good and generous nature. Lots of victories are still in store for A-Rod!
NASCAR
Dale Earnhardt Jr.
Sun in Libra
Moon in Leo
Birth Numer 1
Destiny Number 5
Dale Jr. is the face of NASCAR's new generation. In many ways, you can say that he was born to lead. As a young man, Dale Earnhardt Jr. was very proud of his skills as an oil changer at his father's car dealership in North Carolina. "If I wasn't racing, I'd be working at my dad's Chevrolet dealership," said Earnhardt Jr. "It was only a couple of years ago that I was the fastest oil-change man in the place." His career began meekly, as he and brother Kerry sold a go-kart for $500 so that they could buy an old Monte Carlo racecar for $200.
Dale has a Libra Sun sign and a Leo Moon sign. This combination makes him a star all right. Libra loves to charm and Leo loves to shine. But there is more that points to him being a leader. His Birth Number is 1 and Libra is a Cardinal sign, which means that it seeks to lead, but with grace and charisma instead of force. Dale's Destiny Number points very beautifully to his profession. The number 5 is linked to the fast moving and quick-footed planet Mercury. His Moon sign is also very happy in the position of leader or winner and this guy has the stamina to keep going until he has won everything there is to win. He won at Texas in his 12th career start and at Richmond in his 16th start. He also became the first rookie to win NASCAR's all-star race at Lowe's Motor Speedway.
The 1 and 5 combination is also a mentally restless one, where it is very difficult for the person to relax and slow down. Dale's 1 Birth Number also suggests that he is here to teach others the hidden and more mysterious aspects of racing. As he matures and enters into his late 30s and 40s, he may gain a real view about the different and often unseen reasons why man enjoys the feeling of speed and how winning affects him when he is not racing. Dale has also just entered into one of the most fantastic periods of his life and this period of blessings will last for exactly one year. We might see him do some of his best work in this time frame, when he is fully supported by good luck and his late father's many blessings. We know he's always watching over his son and protecting him.
Professional Tennis
Maria Sharapova
Sun in Aries
Moon in Capricorn
Birth Number 1
Destiny Number 3
"I am Maria Sharapova and not anyone else." Spoken like a true Aries, don't you think? You can understand her vehemence. There's the accent, the ponytail, the potential…the inevitable comparisons to Anna K. But this Russian stunner has actually won a tourney. Two, in fact. "I don't like to lose," Sharapova says. "I don't give up. I'm tough." Tough like her parents who were expecting their first (and only) child when they fled Belarus for Siberia in 1986, to avoid radiation from the Chernobyl disaster. (They would later settle in Florida). Tough enough as a 7-year-old to show up uninvited at Nick Bollettierei's Tennis Academy and wow the instructors with her first stroke. The now five foot nine Sharapova has pounded her way toward the top of the tennis rankings. "She plays without fear," says her coach Rober Lansdorp. Which makes sense. She's not the one who should be afraid.
Maria has an Aries Sun sign and a Capricorn Moon sign. No wonder she comes across as so powerful and driven. Both fiery Aries and ambitious Capricorn bring gifts of energy as well as a very realistic approach to winning. Aries is one of the most active and energetic signs in the zodiac family and becoming a sport star is a very natural vocation for Maria. Tow factors tell us that she likes to win, one is her Capricorn Moon sign which encourages Maria to carefully and methodically build a firm footing in the competitive world of professional women’s tennis. The other is her highly focused Birth Number of 1. No wonder she shines!
The Sun’s influence on her personality will give her added charisma and a very obvious desire to be number one in the world (this flues her self-esteem). This number promotes leadership attributes in a person, and with her Aries Sun sign and earthy Capricorn for a Moon sign, Maria will rise above all her rivals with ease if she regularly applies herself. Aries and Capricorn are also very competitive signs. Mars ruled Aries brings out the fighting spirit in Maria which is hard to ignore. Her Moon sign will never let her give up, no matter how hard the climb to the top is.
A Capricorn Moon sign can also bring some depression with it, as well as a hidden inferiority complex for some people, but with so many strong signs and numbers in her chart and grid, Maria should have no problem shrugging it all off and starting afresh each time. For the first time in her career, Sharapova has successfully defended a WTA Tour title, winning the AIG Japan Open Tennis Championships, in Tokyo, for the second straight year. She improved to 6-0 lifetime in WTA Tour singles finals.
She won the fifth singles title of her career and third this year at the Hansol Korea Open Tennis Championships in Seoul, Korea. She became the first Russian to win a Wimbledon singles title and the third-youngest women's champion in history. She is also the second Russian woman to win a Grand Slam title ever, and the second in a month, following Anastasia Myskina's win at the French Open. She won her third career title and first of the year at the DFS Classic in Birmingham, England. That was Sharapova's first career grass court title. She also won the doubles title there alongside Maria Kirilenko. She was the youngest titlist on the WTA Tour last year and was awarded the "Newcomer of the Year" prize by the WTA Tour.
(updated 10/11/2004)
Maria’s Destiny Number of 3 shows an expressive side to her which will make her a favorite of the media who like an outspoken character to follow. Whatever she has on her mind, she will instantly bring to her lips. A little bit of discretion will go a long way in helping her make the right choices in whom to talk to and what information to keep under wraps. Maria is an authentic Aries personality, as is obvious by her comment about not wanting to be compared to any one else in her field. She loves to stand alone and be the center of attention (1s love to be in the limelight). And we wish her many more wins!
Professional Basketball
Micheal Jordan
Sun in Aquarius
Moon in Sagittarius
Birth Number 8
Destiny Number 2
One can't mention basketball and not mention Micheal Jordan. Talent like his is rare. He was voted five-times NBA's Most Valuable Player (1987-88, 1990-91, 1991-92, 1995-96, 1997-98); he had a ten-time All-NBA First Team selection (1986-87 to 1992-93, 1995-96 to 1997-98); he was selected in 1996 as one of the "50 Greatest Players in NBA History"; he was a member of six Chicago Bulls NBA championship teams (1990-91, 1991-92, 1992-93, 1995-96, 1996-97 and 1997-98); a six-time NBA Finals Most Valuable Player; the 1987-88 NBA Defensive Player of the Year and record nine-time NBA All-Defensive First Team selection (1987-88 to 1992-93; and 1995-96 to 1997-98); entering 2002-03, he was ranked first in NBA history in scoring average (31.0 PPG), second in steals (2,391), fourth in points (30,652) and in field-goals made (11,513), fifth in free-throws made (7,061), sixth in field-goals attempted (23,010) and eighth in free-throws attempted (8,448). My jaw has dropped to the floor, how's yours doing?
His face is engraved in our minds. He ferocity on the court takes our breath away. And the stars and numbers are a testament to his gift and talent. Micheal is a Sun sign Aquarius, which means that he is going to stand out no matter what he does. He cannot tolerate restrictions of any kind and it is only then that the erratic but spectacular Uranus energy can find an outlet. Aquarius is also an air sign; no wonder they called him "Air Jordan". If we match up his Sun sign to his Moon sign of fiery Sagittarius, we have a legend in the making. Sagittarius is ruled by the mighty planet Jupiter and it is under Jupiter’s domain that all kinds of sports are placed. This produces in him a love of the game because it challenges him physically as well as strengthens him emotionally. And yes, he is an intensely emotional man who takes his loyalties very seriously.
Born by the number 8, Micheal is both emotionally strong but also privately vulnerable. This particular number may cause some people to undergo depression from time to time. Saturn, the ruler of the number 8, wants us to be thankful for the blessings in our lives and to be mindful of how easily it can all be taken away. One or two painful life lessons may be in store for the number 8, who will have to learn to adapt at lightning fast speeds, or fall apart completely in front of the whole world.
Micheal’s beloved father died a particularly heinous death at the hands of some very cruel people, who didn’t know whose father he was when they attacked him and robbed him of his life. This must have shattered Micheal, but thankfully it didn’t break him. This was a sign that he had learned Saturn’s mystical lessons very well. His Destiny Number is 2, which is ruled by the Moon. So there is a deeply sensitive side to him that he does not want revealed under any circumstances.
Another interesting thing about the influence of Saturn is that once a person has borne with grace and strength any life lessons that would have broken another person’s back, it rewards them with either extraordinary fame and wealth, or power and influence. Again, the test is (Saturn is the tester planet) whether or not they will let it go to their head and lose control in a tumultuous world. It happens a lot to many 8s. But Micheal is certainly different. Just look at his stellar record:
He shares the NBA record with Wilt Chamberlain for most consecutive seasons leading the league in scoring (seven, 1986-87 to 1992-93); he holds the NBA record for most consecutive games scoring in double-digits (842); he holds the NBA record for most seasons leading the league in field-goals made (10) and attempted (10); he led the NBA in steals in 1987-88 (3.16 spg), 1989-90 (2.77 spg) and 1992-93 (2.83 spg); he holds the NBA single-game records for most free-throws made in one half (20 against the Miami Heat on 12/30/92) and most most free-throws attempted in one half (23 in the same game); he holds the NBA Playoffs record for highest career scoring average (33.4 ppg); he established an NBA Playoffs record with 63 points against the Boston Celtics on 5/20/86; he participated in 13 NBA All-Star Games (1985, 1987-1993, 1996-98, 2002-03), starting 13 times, and missed another due to injury; he was named the MVP of the 1988, 1996 and 1998 NBA All-Star Games; he was named All-time NBA All-Star Game leader in steals (35) and ranks second in field-goal attempts (206), third in points (242), fourth in scoring average (20.2 ppg), and eighth in assists (52); he notched the first triple-double in All-Star Game history, with 14 points, 11 rebounds and 11 assists, in the 1997 NBA All-Star Game in Cleveland; he won the Slam Dunk Contest in 1987 and 1988, also participating in 1985; he notched his 28th career triple-double, with 30 points, 11 rebounds and 10 assists, against the Toronto Raptors on 4/14/97 and returned from retirement against the Indiana Pacers on 3/19/95 and posted 19 points, six rebounds, six assists and three steals in 43 minutes.
Saturn has, as you can see, granted him all that a sportsman could want, the chance to do what he loves for a living, the chance to place himself firmly in the frontlines of basketball history and most of all, to earn the love and admiration of thousands of little boys and girls who will always remember him as their ”Air Jordan”. What an unforgettable legacy.
